Child & Youth Paths

Explore, Play, and Grow Together

Our Child and Youth Path provides personalised support for individuals aged 5 to 25 with additional support needs. Our 1:1 assistance allows members to access community activities and offers families much-needed respite. We create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment, ensuring every opportunity for socialization and personal growth.

Weekly Respite: Consistent support for families, allowing children to try new activities and socialise.

Transition Support: Tailored assistance for school leavers to access further education or work experience.

Daily Groups for Ages 18-25: Focus on safe community access, communication development, and active pursuits.

Person-Centred Care: Customised support plans based on individual needs and interests.

Inclusive Activities: From swimming and music therapy to inclusive dance classes and local excursions.

Supporting Growth from Ages 5 to 25

Ages 5 to School Leavers: Weekly, consistent respite for families that focuses on providing as many opportunities as possible for children to try new activities, socialise, and have fun. This can be done in the community, at our base, or in the home.

School Leavers: We provide support for individuals leaving school or who have recently left to access further education, such as college, places of work experience, or tailored 1:1 support. This focuses on building their independence skills and aiding their transition to the next stage of their life.

Ages 18 – 25: We offer a daily group from 9:30 AM to 2 PM, with all members receiving at least 1:1 support. This group focuses on safely accessing the community, developing communication skills, and participating in active pursuits. Activities are planned in advance based on the group’s interests and include, but are not limited to, swimming, music therapy, inclusive dance classes, and exploring attractions in and around Edinburgh.
