Reach Your Potential in a Supportive Community

At Positive Paths, Adult Life Paths is dedicated to helping young adults with additional support needs continue their learning, reach their potential, and follow their own path within a supportive peer group. Our community-focused approach fosters personal growth, builds confidence, and creates lasting friendships, ensuring each member can thrive in a nurturing environment.

Rainbow Skills: Goals with variety for members to achieve.

Voluntary and Work Experience: Opportunities with local community companies, an area we are expanding.

Borders College: Vocational courses to enhance previous learning or explore new skills.

Socialisation: Peer-based activities like cinema, bowling, shopping, cafes, exercise classes, gym, drama, dance groups, and art groups.

Short Breaks: Programs of holidays (UK and abroad), weekends away, and skills breaks with friends.

A Day in Life Groups

#TRAVEL

Families typically arrange travel to the group’s meeting location. If Positive Paths arranges transportation, this will be added to your monthly calendar for convenience.

#MEET

Join your fellow members and our dedicated staff at the agreed location at 10 AM. This is where your day of growth and community begins.

#PLAN

Collaboratively plan your day with members and staff. Activities are pre-organized by members, ensuring everyone feels involved and informed about the day’s schedule.

#LEARN

Each group works on individualised goals within the Rainbow of Skills framework, providing structured yet flexible learning opportunities tailored to each member’s needs and aspirations.

Acquire practical knowledge to travel on public transport and navigate your community independently.

Comprehensive Support and Rich Experiences

At Positive Paths, we are committed to providing a comprehensive and enriching experience for our members. Our dedicated and familiar staff team works closely with small groups of 2-3 members, ensuring personalised attention and fostering strong, positive relationships. Each group collaboratively plans activities, offering a variety of experiences that promote continuous learning and personal growth throughout the year.

Our Short Breaks Program is a highlight, allowing members to choose from a range of holidays, weekend getaways, and skill-building breaks designed to enhance independence and life skills.
